Abstract

In this paper a bryosociological study of the epiphytic communities in the sierras de Algeciras (S. Spain) is made. The following associations are described: Cryphacetum arboreae Barkman 1958 scorpiurietosum sendtneri subass. nova, (rom the basal part of the range, Neckero-Ulotetum calvescentis v. Hübschmann 1971 em. nom., pioner community on high branches and young trunks of Quercus canariensis Willd, inhabiting the fog belt (600-700 m), Neckero-Porelletum canariensis ass. nova, porelletosum thujae subass. nova, evolved community on median and low parts of Quercus canariensis, being the place similar to that of the preceeding one.
