Zusammenfassung
DNA is the most important molecule of living beings. The investigation related with DNA is influencing different fields of science and society including fine arts. Concretely the double helix model of DNA proposed by Watson and Crick has been incorporated in some plastic arts such as painting, sculpture or architecture. Even some authors are trying to translate the genetic language to music using the nucleotidic sequences of genes and genomes of living beings. And DNA has also influencied filmography and literature, now just beginning some attempts to use DNA as a reliable system of storage of artistic information (literature, music, video). Finally, different organisms obtained by means genetic modifications are considered under an artistic point of view by some people.
