Abstract
A ceramic handle located in Mérida is presented in a productive context prior to the construction of the Domus del Mithraeum. In addition to a morphological analysis, a study of the incised letters that are located on his forehead is addressed. This phaenomenon allows us to reflect on one of the most common practices developed in the changes of years in Roman times, the strenae.
