Résumé

Reconstruction of Berlin, in search of a new identity. The destruction of Berlin in World War II left the city in ruins and divided into sectors. This division gave rise to different strategies and experiments to reconstruct or reinterpret the city, wich left their mark in the second half of the 20th century. The reunification of Germany managed to suture the wound caused by the Berlin wall and to complete the reconstruction, with a new strategy added to the previous ones. The recent polemic about the mimetic reconstruction of the Stadtschloss is a sign that the work initiated in the postwar period has not yet been completed. This article addresses the course of the creation of a new identity after the war.
