Abstract

Cephalometric description of class I malocclusion in a Spanish population by means of I Rocketts analysis. CES Odont 1996: 9:20-28. This article continues the description of the cephalometric characteristies of class I malocclusion in 500 Spanish patients (CES Odont 1995; 8:166-173). 8:166-173). An analysis of the esthetic problem. Cranofacial relations and internal structural problems is presented. A trend towards mandibular retrognathism and dolicocephalic morphology was observed. This was especially evident upon analyzing the facial axis. Esthetically, the population presented increased upper lip length, greater lower lip protrusion and a mild tendency towards smile. From structural point of view. a small mandibular body size and an increased cranial deflection angle were observed.
