Resum

Objectives: Our objective is to analyze the two Masters of Public Health, developed at the Faculty of Medicine of Nouakchott (Mauritania), the first to be executed in that country, in order to train professionals in Public Health, Ministry of Health and generate a Department of this specialty in the School, given the shortage of trained human resources in it. Methods: actions and organizational proposals, selection of content, faculty calendar based on the labor activities of students are detailed. The choice of participants and mechanisms to strengthen gender equality and geographical accessibility, as well as strategies to promote research. Results: We studied demographic, and academic qualifications obtained variables. We are interested in the role of women and non-medical professionals. Knowing whether the spot where they operate or work - center or peripheral - is unrelated to the probability f exceeding the Masters , which is not true. Analyze whether issues of Research Reports relate to health priorities. Conclusions: designated as key elements to achieve the objectives: a) Ensuring broad consensus with the government on objectives, content and methodology as well as responsibilities in the management, administration and management of the Master. b) Build a partnership with the Faculty of Medicine of Nouakchott and have the support of UN agencies in the country. c) Strengthening by a local professional, control of Memories Research.
