Abstract

Craniofacial morphological differences within ethnical groups has been often reported. Many ideal population studies in different areas have been performed in the spanish population. To compare the ideal andalusian population sample with other ideal spanish samples is the aim of the present study in order to know if there are differences among them. lmportant statistic differences in some Steiner analysis parameters (used in all samples) have been founded. Andalusian ideal population parameters are almost totally different from the valentian ones. Madrid's and Cacho's general sample are not so diflerent from the andalusian one. There is little defference with catalonian and basc samples. Lower incisor position is the less altered parameter in all samples, whereas SN-Go-Gn angle and interincisor angle are the most different ones.
