Abstract

A study of 397 class II malocclusion patients (254 women, 153 men) using Steiner analysis (15 parameters) has been performed, cephalometric points were introducted by digitizer. Group middle age was 13,30 years. Sexual dimorphism was studied and also the correlation between different variables according to age. The outcomes were compared to an ideal population of same ethnical characteristics. Neutral antera-posterior maxillary position was most frecuent as well as a high proportion of lower jaw retrognatism. The sample was mainly dolichofacial. Upper and lower incisor position were protrussive in comparaison to ideal population. Differences due to sex were non significative. Some variables showed positive or negative correlation due to age.
