Resumen
In spite of the actions developed during the last years in the legal, political, economic and cultural domains to foster gender equity and parity, in the psychosocial sphere certain psychological differences are likely to persist between men and women that, due to their own implicit and informal character, are difficult to detect but that, no doubt, it is worth to research. To this end, we present this study in which we analysed, through a questionnaire elaborated by ourselves, gender differences and similarities in a representative sample of 438 students with respect to their attitudes to working conditions in the job market. The results are interpreted in the light of the three main theoretical models developed in this field (gender model, job model and integrated model), and they show that men and women coincide in their evaluations of these requirements, attribute the imposition of these demands in the job world to the same reasons and, finally, also converge in the professional characteristics they would wish, and therefore, they would choose if they were given such an opportunity.
