La historia rural en AndalucíaBalance historiográfico y perspectivas de futuro

Abstract

In this article a panorama of the rural historiography about Andalusia in the Modern Age is shown. It is shown from two of the cultural facts that have marked the development of historical andalusian investigation during the last decades: I Congress on Andalusian History (1976) and The Andalusian History, directed by Antonio Domínguez Ortiz (1980-1981). It has been a period of intense historiographic work during which a lot of the ignorances that we had about the rural andalusian world have been clarifi ed. Nevertheless, such was the ignorance we had about it that there are still some important aspects that need to be investigated, having into account the complexity that offers the agrarian frame andalusian due to its great physical diversity and very varied human evolution of its population.
