Valoración de las representaciones sociales sobre el concepto de paz en futuros educadores

Resumo

n this article we present some important aspects belonging to a research made in the last course, 2009-2010. The students who took part in the mentioned research are enrolled in the subjects of “Peace Education” (Teacher Training ) and “Equality and Peace Education” (Pedagog y), at the University of Granada. The objective of the research is to approach the different concept these students have of “peace”, before and after having coursed the subject at the university, by means of a survey. This survey, which consisted of 119 subjects, shows before coursing the subject confusion in the concepts, more deeply about peace and violence of classes, as well as lack of ideas and specific educational sources for its use in the classroom. Once the course and subjects were concluded, there is a clear improvement in the result of the final survey. There are also new suggestions to improve their professional career.
