Abstract
Aside from offering a brief introduction to some of the most outstanding aspects of Spanish/Arabic translating in the media, this paper focuses on common errors, i.e. grammatical negligence, that frequently occur in Arabic press. For this purpose a detailed study has been carried out on practical examples extracted from the London-based Arab daily newspaper Al-Hayāt. The obtained results show, once again, the recurrence and persistence of the studied errors. However, it is nonetheless remarkable, as a positive aspect, that the frequency of their use in this newspaper is lower than the frequency registered in other media reviewed in previous articles.
