Resumen

The Quality Internal Guarantee Committee of the Faculty of Pharmacy is the body responsible for monitoring and implementing the Quality Assurance System for Degree in Pharmacy. Its general objectives, among others, are to support the continuous improvement of the quality of teaching and ensure that the skills, abilities and aptitudes of its graduates are recognized by employers and by the community.The objective of this study is to analyze the results of the indicators of academic performance and labor insertion of graduates of the Degree in Pharmacy, and to evaluate the fulfilment or not of the estimated values, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of the Degree and making improvement actions where necessary.The results for this study are obtained from the databases of the Quality, Innovation and Prospective Unit of the University of Granada. It is observed that the total number of students registered in the Pharmacy Degree has increased by 12.31% during the last 5 academic years, being the admission average grade to the Degree of 10.5 ± 0.19. Although the performance and efficiency rates have remained stable (66 ± 0.97% and 96.6 ± 0.22%, respectively), the success rate has increased to 82.24% in the last 5 academic years. However, these results are lower than the average both performance and success rates of the Health Sciences Degrees of the University of Granada. On the other hand, the cumulative dropout rate is 16.2 ± 2.34%, the average for graduation rate is 43.75 ± 2.28% and the average for duration of studies is 5.3 ± 0.31 years. Finally, it is observed that the labor insertion rate of graduates of the Degree in Pharmacy is 67.43% and the mean time to labor insertion is 158 days, being these data significantly higher than the average of the Health Sciences Degrees of the University of Granada.In conclusion, improvement actions must be made to enhance the rates of performance and success of the Pharmacy Degree.
