Resumen
This study aims to assess the impact of an innovative educational project in the learning process of a group of students. This project was development in the subject Science-Technology-Society-Environment (STSE) of the master’s degree in teacher training for secondary school. The sample includes 20 students. The background of the students had both science and humanities degrees. For data collection, an ad hoc questionnaire open-ended questionnaire was used. An analysis was performed of four categories analysis: STSE approach, mobile phone, project-based learning and usefulness of the learning process for the professional development These categories coincided with the contents of the innovative educational project. It can be concluded that the educational innovation project was a positive experience for the students. Through this project, the students had acquired new knowledge from different fields such as technology and science, environmental impact of the mobile phones or the different phases of the Project-Based Learning, that will be useful in their professional development. Nevertheless, the short duration of the project didn’t allow to learn more about strategies related to STSE approach.
