To know which are the web pages most used by pharmacists to retrieve information on pharmaceutical care. Methods: Descriptive study based on a survey done with a self-administered questionnaire to attendants to the Third National Congress on Pharmaceutical Care in September 2003. Questionnaire contained more relevant web pages (as an expert group consulted) classified in 9 categories. Frequency of use was asked to each web. Results: As regard 76 questionnaires gathered, the most used web page to provide pharmaceutical care was BOT (once a week), followed by Pharmaceutical Care España (once a month). In third position Pubmed and others like Research Group on Pharmaceutical Care at University of Granada and CADIME. In that most used web pages, the interest on compendia point out (they choose 4 from 6 suggested), followed by journals in the web (being more preferred those in Spanish and those biomedical), and then drug bulletins. Pages containing clinical practice guidelines, reviews and other secondary sources are rarely used by surveyed pharmacists. They prefer to consult primary sources instead secondary sources. Conclusion: Web pages most used by pharmacists are: BOT, Pharmaceutical Care España, Pubmed, Research Group on Pharmaceutical Care at University of Granada and CADIME.
