Resumo
The incr easing demand of usable and accessible products has tr ansformed the softwar e process development. These aspects ar e a centr al part of the User Center edDesign (UCD), as a guide to improve the quality of life, to achieve a better understanding, to enlarge the market and to incr ease the client's satisfaction. In spite of these aspects, the importance of the UCD inside the process of development softwar e only is consider ed as a final attribute of the product and it has not been consider ed as an inher ent element during the development process. This application absence is even pr esented mor e in the processes of development of the Small and Medium Enterprises softwar e producers SME´s SP, that sometimes haven’t a very defined process. The use of techniques of usability and accessibility can be r eflected in benefits of time, cost and quality, centr al axes in the continuity and prosperity of the objectives of the business. This work, still in development, shows the basic principles of the UCD together with the role that can play in the success from a product when it is including in the process of softwar e development.
