Abstract
In the current context of extreme social polarization, it becomes relevant to recover the genealogy of women who transgressed social boundaries at their time and made their way in fields predominately led by men. This text brings those women’s collective memory to the forefront through oral sources. By means of their memories, we have built a genealogy that stresses the hardship they experienced to become professional artists, their feminist consciousness and the way this is captured in their plastic art.
