Laburpena

The biological and psychological nature of emotions demands a multimodal perspective that takes into consideration context and allows us to unravel aspects such as their cultural, embodied and lexical expression. In this paper, we use the tools of corpus linguistics and Frame Based Terminology to focus on the conceptualization of emotions, the semantic relations established among them and the description of the various facets of the verbal and embodied expression of emotions. We will show how the results of this study have been incorporated in a multimodal resource that describes the linguistic and cultural patterns of emotions and aims at facilitating English-Spanish interlinguistic communication.
