Resum

Objectives; The purpose of this review of the literature is to try to update the most relevant contents on Community Assertive Therapy in patients with severe mental disorders in Spain. This is intended to know the characteristics, benefits and availability of these teams in Spain. Methods; A bibliographic search has been carried out on the Web Of Science platform, as well as on different state official pages, taking into account the established inclusion criteria and obtaining a total of 29 articles and documents to respond to the stated objectives. Results; The Assertive Community Therapy teams are multidisciplinary working groups with an average of 15 patients in his charge. These present a series of characteristics for insertion in these programs. Discussion; Once the therapy is started, different points of view are observed in relation to some benefits that seem to be clear, while others are questioned, as contradictory results are observed. In Spain, 12 communities include Assertive Community Therapy in their strategy. Conclusions; It is verified that the Assertive Community Therapy contributes a great benefit in terms of reducing patient readmissions, not being so clear in other aspects studied. In Spain these teams continue to be inserted gradually, so today there is much to improve.
