Abstract

Masonry bridges had a great importance in the 19th century. A large number of these ones were built within the new infrastructures emerged after the Industrial Revolution. Its design was mainly conditioned by technical aspects, but artistic expression were also very important for its creators. And in order to achieve a aesthetic good appearance the colour was one of the main resources. This paper focuses on the use of the colour in the bridges of Southeast of Spain.
