Abstract

We know that the problems arising with respect to the supervision and control is a phenomenon that came into existence before the tragic events that occurred after the 11- S in New York ,but it is noteworthy that from this event increased the implementation of surveillance cameras per square meter in the city of New York has been greater. In recent years, the American city has undergone a major change in terms of security measures are concerned, all the spaces through which the citizen passes are subject to tight security , especially in public with the significant increase in video surveillance systems are installed everywhere and in some cases there is no regulation as they are installed by private companies without any knowledge of the current rules and data protection laws that are in place today. In the United States there are a number of groups that are demonstrating a critical stance regarding the situation of control and surveillance that is under today's society, demanding the right to privacy and the right to pass unnoticed by the public space and that no overseer or control their actions. In the United States we will highlight the work of the Collective activist Surveillance Camera Player (SCP).
