Resumen
Physical and sports activity represents an important element in speaking about teens' healthy habits. In the same way, the consumption of harmful substances is considered to be a closely related variable to the above-mentioned habits. The aim of the present study is to describe the fulfillment of athletic activity recommendations and tobacco, alcohol and cannabis consumption, as well as the links between both variables. A sample of 787 adolescents of Region de Murcia, with an average age of 14.16 years old, completed the health behavior questionnaire of the international study in school-aged children to identify the variables that are the object of study. Results indicate adolescents who realize a minimum of 60 minutes of physical daily activity do not relate meaningfully to a minor consumption of harmful substances. The identification of variables related to healthy habits could be a way to prevent non-adaptive behaviors in adolescence.
