Abstract

This work tries to study the specificity of the different solar images used in Empresas políticas, written by Saavedra Fajardo, who uses a Renaissance imaginary that is de-substantiated when using it from his own vision of the world, fully baroque, according to which he interprets questions such as the heliocentric revolution, the identification between king and Sun, and the solar nature of the deity.
