Comparación de los componentes del Interpersonal Exchange Model of Sexual Satisfaction entre distintas tipologías de adhesión al doble estándar sexual

Resumen

El doble estándar sexual (DES) favorable al hombre se ha asociado negativamente a la satisfacción sexual. Sin embargo, hasta la fecha no existen estudios que examinen la relación entre el DES y los componentes del Interpersonal Exchange Model of Sexual Satisfaction (IEMSS). Este trabajo planteó examinar las diferencias en los componentes del IEMSS entre las tipologías de adhesión al DES (i.e., favorable al hombre, favorable a la mujer e igualitaria) para libertad y recato sexual. Método: Participaron 1.165 adultos heterosexuales (594 hombres y 571 mujeres) contestando las versiones españolas del Interpersonal Exchange Sexual Satisfacction Questionaire y de la Sexual Double Standard Scale. Resultados: En los hombres se observaron puntuaciones más altas en el componente de igualdad de beneficios sexuales en la tipología igualitaria en comparación con la favorable al hombre, en el ámbito de la libertad sexual. Las mujeres presentaron puntuaciones más elevadas en el componente de igualdad de costes sexuales en la tipología igualitaria en comparación con la favorable al hombre, en el ámbito del recato sexual. Conclusiones: Estos hallazgos, que asocian la tipología igualitaria a mayores niveles de satisfacción sexual, sugieren considerar la tipología de adhesión al DES en el análisis de la satisfacción sexual de parejas heterosexuales
