Resumen

From the case studies of the Andalusian coast, and particularly their most dynamic developments, such as the Costa del Sol, a review of the processes of territorial transformation of general coastal area is showed in order to induce global behaviors. We analyze the policies that made possible the phenomenon of tourism, economic changes that were implemented, the warnings of the planning tools that were provided and the appearance of specific typological models that emerged at the peak of expansion of this process. Linking all these factors from a transverse view it is possible to see the implications for subsequent coastal territory. Studying in detail those architectural styles from tourism (initially the hotel and holiday apartment and later urbanization), it is possible to get an understanding of urban and landscape relationships implied in its architecture. Moreover, the analysis of the evolution and change of models is taken as a basis for detecting the effects caused in the territorial scale. With all that is intended to reveal the collective imagination that has operated on our shores and consequent territorial behaviors.
