This paper reconstructs the history of some Olympic sports of contact in Spain during much ofthe twentieth century following, as guiding the career and sports ofFabián Vicente del Valle. This frustrated Olympic boxer in Berlin in 1936 because of the Spanish civil war was then in London in 1948, the Spanish flagbearer at the opening ceremony at Wembley Stadium. Time after spreading and help build our country in the emerging sport of judo at that time was not yet included in the schedule ofthe Summer OIympics Games and hosted the European Judo Championships which were held in Barcelona in 1958. Finally he concluded his Olympic career as president of the Spanish Federation of Wrestling (1968-1971) being a member of the Spanish Olympic Committee.
