Résumé
Menorca�s main road, the Me-1, crosses the island from west to east and until recently passed through the town of Ferreries at its halfway point. A new by-pass has subsequently allowed traffic to avoid the town centre. The project was promoted by the Menorca Island Council and financed by an agreement with the Spanish Ministry of Development. Work started in August 2010 and was completed in May 2012. The contract price of the project amounted to �25,162,849.
