Abstract

Cystic dystrophy of the duodenal wall is a rare complication of aberrant pancreas characterized by increased duodenal wall thickness, associated with intraparietal cystic lesions. We report the case of a patient with history of acute pancreatitis, who was admitted with duodenal obstruction. The diagnosis was difficult, especially for the need to exclude the neoplasms of the duodenal-pancreatic area. Echoendoscopy was useful in establishing the definitive diagnosis, allowing FNAP and a correct valuation of the duodenal wall.
