Abstract

Today we can find unpublished islamic archeological remains in the “Axarquía” in Málaga, even, after the extraordinary and wonderful study from our loved Mª Dolores Aguilar in 1979. In Cútar and Arenas towns we have located two “rábitas” that both have been rebuilt into “aljibes” ("fountains” they are called). Their maintenace have been allowed since the “aljibes” are useful buildings which have been used and also they are used today, and they have got a continuous maintenace along the time. We can dated these “rábitas” from the almoravid to nazari periods (s. XIII-XV).
