Resumo

We present here a first approach to water supply to the Cathedral of Granada in the sixteenth century. An urban area centered on the cathedral and formed by the largest, converted mosque, as we shall see, in Cathedral, Royal Chapel, the works of the new cathedral, whose head will handle and use from 1561, the Ecclesiastic schools, Real and Santa Catalina and archbishops houses. It is therefore of the sources of supply of this set, the routes and, if possible, specific destinations water. For now it seems impossible to evaluate the daily consumption of this set. The Andalusian literature on the subject is sparse. Some work only interest seems isolated, apart, of course, general studies on town councils. The sources are basically two, the file of the Cathedral of Granada, enlegajada documentation and records chapter, and the municipal archives in the same city, especially the books of minutes of council.
