Abstract
hia (Salvia hispanica L.) native from Central America, has been used by the pre-Hispanic population as food, and with the passage of time, it was also cultivated and used as raw material for the generation of medicines and paints. Recently, it has achieved great popularity among the general population as a dietary supplement, due to their nutritional properties. Its multiple health benefits are due to its high content of fiber, antioxidants, proteins, and Omega-3 rich polyunsaturated fatty acid, such as linolenic acid. Although its advantages are widely described, this is not the case of its possible complications and damages to health. We present the case of a premenopausal woman who goes to the emergen
