Abstract

Aim: The aim of this study was to determine a quality control model of the nursing care to elderly with limited functional capacity (assisted elederly) and propose criteria and standards for process quality. Design: An observational study was carried out based on idea generation techniques and expert consensus. Materials: The identification and selection of criteria and standards of process quality were performed by a panel of expert with a technique of nominal group and prioritization by a lineal measurement scale. Results: A total of 84 criteria of process quality were identified and classified according to five areas of which 77% were classified as measurable and their standard values established. Conclusions: The expert consensus was found to be an adequate technique to identify criteria of care quality in agreement with health care practice, thereby obtaining an impressionist and clarifying image of the quality of the health care and organization processes.
