Abstract

This paper focuses on the new economic framework of regulated activities in the natural gas sector that has been introduced through the CNMC Circulars and the provisions adopted by the Government throughout 2019 and 2020. Specifically, it analyses the system for setting the remuneration of regasification, transport and distribution activities, as well as tolls and fees for access to infrastructures. The attribution of these functions to the CNMC by Royal DecreeLaw 1/2019 opens a new stage in the economic configuration of the gas sector that will result in a readjustment of remuneration and, consequently, of the tolls borne by consumers
