Abstract

Beautiful assemblage of well-formad crystals of zeolites are found in Jete (Salobreña nape, Betic Range, Spain). Routine examination of x-ray diffractomerter show that the studied zeolites are a pathers similar to chabazite and sodium stilbite. The refined paramétrés are: stilbite, a = 13,683 (2) Å, c = 15,00 (8) Å, β = 129 ,1 (1).; chabazite, a=b = 13,8 18 (4) Å, c = 15,00 (8) Å, α= β =90', γ=120'. Three samples of the zeolites, selected to avoid as many impurities as possible, were separad manualy to chemical, DTG and diffractometric analysis. The final separations contained more 99.5 per cent chabazite or sodium stilbite. The chemical analysis and content of the unit cell based on 72 oxigens are given. X-ray data are discussed. An upper formation temperature limit of 60 to 7 5 °C under 50 b pressure are calculated.
