La valoración del estado periodontal en los pacientes con artritis reumatoide

Resum

Rheumatoid arthritis is a systemic illnes with pathogenetics mechanisms that remembers periodontal disease and clinical manifestations includes alterotion of small articulations and other conectives tissues. The aim of the present work is to study periodontal status in a population of rheumatoid arthritis patients, and evaluate it in function of clinical and laboratory parameters of rheumatoid arthritis. 71 rheumatoid arthritis patients have been studied, 63 women and 8 men, with a half age of 52 years. To all of them have carried out o periodontal study consistent in: probing depth, plaque and gingival index and recount of absent teeth. Rheumathoid parometers includes: rheumathoid factor; grade of clinical evalution of Steinbroker; the activity, the presence of extrarticulars manifestations, the presence of secundary Sjögren's syndrome, drug base treatment, evolution's time and the factors latex, VSG and PCR of rheumatoid arthritis. Our results indicates the infiuence of rheumatoid arthritis systemic infiomatory conditions in periodontal status of the studied population.
