Abstract
An infant aged 50 days was treated with balsamic suppositories conteining a small dose of camphor and exhibited acute neurological manifestations as coma, generalized hypertonia, hyperreflexia and a slow response to photomotor reflex. In a review ot the literature it is to note the scarse incidence of this sort of intoxication in Spain in contrast with other countries. The Author thinks that it is a case of idiosincrasia and emphasises the importance to pay attention when specialities with complicated composition are administered.
