Resumen
En la lectura confluyen dos componentes básicos: saber cómo descifrar los símbolos escritos de un texto y comprender su significado. Se trata de una habilidad cognitiva compleja, en cuya adquisición están implicadas múltiples «subhabilidades» y factores que la investigación ha ido señalando; se revisan los fundamentales.
