'Comer la tierra'. Abuso infantil, huella emocional y ciclo de violencia en la Sierra Central del Perú

Resumen

Este artículo sostiene que las características de la cultura en la que se desarrolla un niño abusado influencian que se convierta, o no, en un marido y padre violento. Analiza el relato de vida de un joven andino víctima y perpetrador de abusos en su entorno familiar. Muestra cómo utiliza diferentes esquemas narrativos que organizan socialmente la comunicación de las emociones. El análisis pone de manifiesto que la negación de la simpatía es una condición del aprendizaje de la violencia y revela la situación de doble vínculo creada por dos mandatos contradictorios: 'defender a la madre enfrentándose a un padre que debe ser respetado'. Las circunstancias socioculturales del protagonista hacen posible que las respuestas a las demandas contradictorias a las que se enfrentará en el medio familiar sean influidas por el aprendizaje infantil del uso de la violencia.
