Resumen
Since ancient times, the sea has been the perfect place for human beings to develop their commercial activity. This has meant, therefore, that it has been a place where serious legal conflicts have arisen. This commercial activity was conducive to the emergence of two distinct legal transactions, the maritime risk loan contract and the maritime insurance contract. In order to contribute to a greater study of them, we are going to analyse the treatment they receive in the Spanish Commercial Code of 1829.
