Introduction: In both day-to-day and healthcare settings, distractions and interruptions are threats to people’s performance and safety. Patient safety is sometimes a problem in the area of health worldwide, and it is an aspect that directly affects the quality of care, and therefore it is a priority to ensure it in health systems. Objectives: Know improvement strategies that reduce medication administration errors caused by nursing intervention. Minimize interruptions; Reduce adverse events. Methodology: Initially, to develop this improvement project, a bibliographic review has been carried out in order to identify the main factors that cause errors in the administration of mediation, and the advantages of the use of vests in the preparation and dispensing of medication for minimize such errors. This bibliographic review consists of searching for articles in the main databases such as Medline (PubMed), Cochrane Library, Scielo, and scientific journals with publications related to the subject. Below, those articles with the most appropriate information have been selected to successfully carry out this project. Results: The evaluation of the improvement plan is carried out by means of a series of different types of indicators: First, as a structure indicator, it will be applied at the beginning of the improvement plan. It evaluates the availability of large classrooms (six) with a projector in addition to quantifying the number of seats occupied by attendees in relation to the total number of seats available in the classroom during each session. Conclusion: It has been shown that, with the vests placed on the nursing professional, it has been possible to reduce the risk of suffering interruptions during the administration of the medication since it serves as a warning sign to respect the professional during that moment. It is of great importance since this error can cause a failure in the therapeutic chain and, therefore, a possible negative effect on the patient, and the nursing professional is the main responsible for this.
