Zusammenfassung
Introduction: Respiratory rehabilitation is a set of techniques and care aimed at maintaining the patency of the airway, improving ventilation and increasing the effectiveness of the respiratory muscles. Objective: The objective is to know the application conditions, the different respiratory exercises, respiratory physiotherapy and muscle training. Methodology: A narrative review of the latest scientific evidence from journals indexed in the Cochrane Library, Pubmed, Cuiden and Medine databases has been carried out. Results: Respiratory exercises and respiratory physiotherapy are included in respiratory rehabilitation. Conclusion: The importance of carrying out a good respiratory rehabilitation to prevent complications in surgical patients, as a preventive measure in patients with neurological, postural or musculoskeletal alterations and to collaborate in order to achieve an optimal respiratory pattern in patients who present COPD, atelectasis or pneumonia.
