Resumen

The main objective of the thesis is to enhance the diffusion of the literary facet of Santiago Rusiñol in Catalonia and the rest of Spain, as well as to deepen the understanding of the artist. To achieve this target, the 943 writings of Santiago Rusiñol in L’Esquella de la Torratxa have been collected, for the first time, in an editable format. They have been systematically classified, integrated into a thematic database and supplemented with contextual comments. Subsequent cross-sectional analysis of the most relevant topics has led to the creation of a new portrait of the artist (10 facets). Two particularly significant factors have been the genealogical influence on the individual and his literature, and the detection of apocryphal writings to avoid any ideological contamination. The artist's relationship with the subjects: money, women, science, progress, bulls, religion, Noucentisme, Rusiñol in its purest form, aphorisms and Aranjuez has also been discussed. Finally, all the writings have been translated into Spanish.
