The most relevant ones come from the increase in traffic loads and the exposure to extreme weather events as a result of climate change. The research carried out in recent decades on asphalt materials with high mechanical. sustainable. automated and intelligent performance is mature enough to be implemented on our roads in the coming years. Therefore, innovation through the transfer of these technologies is a great tool to respond to these challenges; this even facilitated economic resources for its implementation on Andalusian roads in the coming years.
