Resum

Incisional hernias are the most frequent late complication after surgical interventions. In turn, as a rare complication of its repair (mainly with prosthetic material), cases of giant abdominal pseudocyst have been evidenced. This entity is defined as a liquid collection not delimited by epithelium, larger than ten centimeters. The etiology is still not clearly defined today, although there are several hypotheses among which obesity is considered a risk factor. Surgery is recommended as the only definitive therapeutic measure. We present the case of a patient treated in our hospital.
