Abstract

We present a 43-year-old male who had undergone laparoscopic cholecystectomy for acute cholecystitis, conversion to laparotomy due to the great inflammation of the surgical area. Iatrogenic opening of the gallbladder occurred, with the output of tens of millimetric stones. On the sixth postoperative day, he reported pain and a lump in the right groin after a small effort. After examination, the suspicion of an incarcerated right inguinofemoral hernia is confirmed. It is explored in the operating room showing a hernial sac of 6x2cm with content of gallstones inside.
