Efectos de la intoxicación aguda con dextroanfetamina sobre el metabolismo energético en cerebro de rata

Resumen

En el presente trabajo hemos estudiado el efecto de la intoxicación aguda con dextroanfetamina sobre el metabolismo energético en cerebro de rata. Los enzimas estudiados han sido: hexoquinasa libre y ligada, fosfofructoquinasa, piruvatoquinasa, láctico deshidrogenasa, citrato sintasa, isocitrato deshidrogenasa NAD+-dependiente y malato deshidrogenasa. Todas las actividades enzimáticas se han determinado en cuatro áreas cerebrales (cerebro, tronco, corteza cerebral y diencéfalo). Las ratas fueron intoxicadas mediante la inyección intraperitoneal de una dosis única de dextroanfetamina (2,5, 5 y 7,5 mg/kg), y se sacrificaron por decapitación a los 30 minutos de la administración de la dosis. Las actividades enzimáticas estudiadas correspondientes a enzimas que inter vienen en la glucolisis no experimentan modificación alguna tras la intoxicación aguda con d-anfetamina, mientras que sí hemos encontrado un descenso estadísticamente significativo de la actividad isocitrato deshidrogenasa NAD+- dependiente en cerebelo y tronco.
