Abstract

In this Doctoral Thesis 3 Randomized Controlled Trials have been carried out in which two of the most frequent pathologies of the foot and ankle are addressed: Hallux Abducto Valgus (HAV) and Chronic Ankle Instability (CAI). The first one evaluates the differences between a control group and a group treated with Global Postural Re-Education in HAV conditions. The second one analyzes the effectiveness of a treatment with balance training and balance training together with partial limitation of vision with stroboscopic vision glasses in comparison with a control group in people with CAI. The third compares the efficacy of a neuromuscular training program and a strength training program with respect to a control group in people with CAI.
