Abstract
Crohn's disease (CD) is a gastrointestinal chronic inflammatory disease. One of the most common complications of this disease is intestinal obstruction due to inflammatory or fibrous stenosis, which can sometimes get worsened by unusual mechanic causes. Here we describe a non-previously reported cause. We present two cases of CD patients with history of intestinal suboclusion treated with oral mesalazine that presented an acute episode of complete intestinal obstruction requiring hospitalization and, in one of them, surgical intervention.
