Resumen

Basal cell carcinoma constitutes the most common skin cancer, representing approximately 80% of nonmelanoma skin malignancies. Basal cell carcinoma originates in epidermal basal cells and may be triggered by solar overexposure. This is why it frequently appears in the facial, cervical and trunk region. Its appearance in areas not exposed to the sun, such as the perianal region, is extremely rare, representing 0.2% of all diagnosed basal cell carcinomas in this region. We present below the clinical case of a perianal nodular basal cell carcinoma, with the aim of exposing its image and treatment due to its anecdotal incidence.
