Abstract

A 73-year-old male presented with a pigmented nodular lesion in the inferonasal bulbar conjunctiva. Histopathological examination revealed a neoplastic melanocytic proliferation. This was characterized by vessel proliferation within the base of the lesion and invasive melanoma cells, positive for Melan-A. The patient underwent a dry “no touch” excision and a superficial sclerectomy. There were no signs of recurrence after 12 months of follow-up. However, it is necessary to perform a longer follow-up for greater security.
